Florida A&M University to Host Statewide Gubernatorial Debate in Partnership with Spectrum News

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida A&M University (FAMU), in partnership with Spectrum News Florida, will host a statewide gubernatorial debate on Tuesday, September 29, at 7 p.m. ET on FAMU’s campus in Tallahassee. The one-hour debate will be televised and streamed live statewide across Spectrum News digital platforms. The livestream will be available free of charge to all viewers, including non-Spectrum subscribers.

The debate will provide Floridians an opportunity to hear directly from the leading candidates for governor about their priorities and vision for the state’s future. Spectrum Bay News 9 Political Anchor Holly Gregory and Spectrum News 13 Political Anchor Ybeth Bruzual will serve as moderators.

“Hosting a statewide gubernatorial debate at FAMU is an incredible opportunity for our students to engage in thoughtful discussion about the issues shaping our state,” said FAMU Student Body President Kennedy Williams. “We want our students to be informed, engaged, and confident in using their voices. Bringing this conversation to Rattler Nation gives students a front-row seat to the issues shaping Florida’s future and the opportunity to hear firsthand how the candidates plan to address them.”
